If you’re planning to host a major event on the Gold Coast, it’s important to consider how your attendees will get to and from your event.

Existing services may be sufficient, or you may need to provide additional services, such as chartered bus services. To ensure your event is supported with the best transport services you should contact Translink or call the Gold Coast TransLink office early in your planning process so that they can work with you to plan appropriate passenger transport arrangements for your event. This will help minimise impacts to existing services, local residents and businesses, and ensure the safety of people travelling to and from your event.

The TransLink Journey Planner app is a free journey planner, providing up-to-date fare and timetable information to help attendees reach your event destination.


The TransLink go card electronic ticket will allow attendees to travel on all bus, train, tram, and ferry services in South East Queensland at discounted rates. Transferring between modes of transport involves simply tapping on and off at the beginning and end of each trip with the go card.


Attendees can also access South East Queensland’s public transport network via Google Transit.
