Gold Coast festival one step closer to normal with the removal of zones.
In sensational news for rock fans, brand-new music and action sports festival, Inverted Festival, has announced the event will proceed in 2021 without zones, bringing fans even closer to the best of punk rock and action sports, in one epic venue.
Proudly supported by Major Events Gold Coast, Inverted Festival will be the largest standing music festival to take place in Australia since the pandemic first hit, with over 10,000 music fans expected at Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast on Saturday, 1 May 2021.
Following extensive consultations between QLD Health and Metricon Stadium, event organisers are thrilled to host the event, which will resemble as close to ‘normal’ as possible for festival fans, whilst remaining committed to a COVIDSafe environment.
Since launching in July 2020, Major Events Gold Coast has been proud to support a variety of events on the Gold Coast as they slowly bounce back to a sense of normal with COVID Safe plans, increased capacity and now the removal of zones.
Trophy Eyes said,
There’s only six weeks until Inverted Festival and we can’t wait to get back on stage and play in front of a massive, standing festival crowd, with people enjoying themselves like we used to. With the removal of zones, fans can move freely between stages and enjoy everything the event has to offer.
The festival, which falls on Queensland’s Labour Day long weekend in May, will be the first of its kind in Australia; featuring a stellar line-up of homegrown Aussie talent including Skegss, Spiderbait, The Chats, Trophy Eyes, WAAX, Stand Atlantic and Fangz. With two events in one, punters will get extra bang for their buck, listening to Australia’s best punk and alternative rock bands whilst watching the best in action sports battle head-to-head in MOTO-X, BMX and skate.
