The Volleyball Queensland Beach Schools Cup will return to beautiful Coolangatta Beach 12 – 13 March 2023.
The Beach Schools Cup is an annual, two-day event based on Queensland schools competing for the Beach Volleyball title. As this event is the only volleyball competition of its kind, the Beach Schools Cup will attract participation from all regions including North Queensland right down to South East Queensland. This event is typically held during Term One of each year when the weather conditions at Coolangatta Beach will be in their prime. Aimed at High School Students of all year levels, the Beach Schools Cup divides its competition into three divisions; Junior (Years 7 and 8), Intermediate (Years 9 and 10), and Senior (Years 11 and 12).
Since the event moved to Coolangatta Beach in 2019 it has continued its rapid growth in participation. Beach Schools Cup saw 420 teams from 50 schools playing on 50 courts – Australia’s biggest beach volleyball event!
Coolangatta is located on the Southern Gold Coast and is known for its iconic view back up to Surfers Paradise with the entire Gold Coast coastline in between. Spoilt for choice with surf breaks from Greenmount Beach, Snapper Rocks or the world-class surf break of Duranbah, this region is the perfect spot to host an oceanside event. Queensland is home to some of the best beaches in the world, and there’s no better location than the spectacular backdrop of Coolangatta.
The Volleyball Queensland Beach Schools Cup is proudly supported by Major Events Gold Coast.
