The Touch Rugby League (TRL) State of Origin and World Cup return to the Gold Coast in July.
22 nations will compete in the World Cup with over 1000 players and officials in attendance, while the State of Origin will attract eight elite teams from the north and south of the country. The two events will be held from 21-23 July at the Alabaster Playing Fields in Carrara.
The TRL events kick off with the prestigious State of Origin on Friday 21 July. This will be the eigth consecutive State of Origin since 2016, and each year the elite standard continues to grow with the country’s best of the best from New South Wales and Queensland battling it out across Men’s, Mixed, Women’s, and Over 30’s divisions.
When the State of Origin is completed the world’s best will move onto the fields for the TRL World Cup. This will be the fifth World Cup TRL has hosted. The number of countries being represented each year continues to grow with a record-breaking 22 nations last year. This is truly a celebration of culture, so come down and see it for yourself!
