The Tour de Valley Festival of Time Trialing will be held in the Gold Coast’s Currumbin Valley this October 2021.
The re-surfaced course which covers sections from the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games cycling road racing events will offer participants the opportunity to ride on one of the best time trial courses in the country.
Featuring two courses, the 72km Solo Time Trial will offer competitors the chance to take on the longest individual time trial event on the east coast of Australia. In addition, the Team Cycling Challenge will return in 2021, along with the QLD State Team Time Trial Championships after its successful debut in 2019.
Located on the Southern Gold Coast, the Currumbin Valley is just minutes from the Gold Coast Airport and world-famous beaches. Boasting a picturesque backdrop for any cycling event, the valley offers wide and windy roads sheltered by trees and in some parts, rainforest, plus a range of areas for spectators to view the event.
In 2020 the Tour de Valley attracted 170 competitors in the individual time trial, 635 riders in the team challenge, and 180 riders in the Qld State Team Time Trial Championship.
Tour de Valley is proudly supported by Major Events Gold Coast.
