The world’s best wakeboarders are set to hit the waters of the Gold Coast in September 2024 for the World Championships.
Get ready for a week of wake as the prestigious World Wakeboarding Association (WWA) Wakeboard & Wake Park World Championships make their splash on the Gold Coast from 21-29 September 2024. Against the backdrop of this iconic coastal paradise, the world’s most accomplished wakeboarders are set to converge, showcasing their best tricks and pushing the limits of the sport.
The WWA Wakeboard & Wake Park World Championships is the longest-standing global wake event. The events welcome both amateur and professional riders from around the world to compete in five disciplines of wake for the most coveted titles in the sport. The Championships will kick off at Gold Coast Wake Park September 21st through 24th and then will head to the Marine Stadium for the boat portion of the event September 26th through 29th.
For the past 35 years the WWA World Championship has hosted the best professional and amateur wakeboarders from around the globe with riders from over 40 countries. The 2024 event is expected to attract thousands of competitors and spectators to the Gold Coast providing a significant economic injection to the city.
