Major Events Gold Coast is excited to welcome back the Beach 5s Rugby Spring Break Festival to Greenmount Beach, Coolangatta for the 6th year.
From 4-5 November 2023, the festival will host a mix of social and elite sporting divisions, masters and junior competitors, providing fun in the sun, on the beach, with a relaxed party theme.
Beach 5s Rugby is a spectacular, fast-paced and exciting sand-based competition based on modified rules of Rugby Union, Rugby League and Touch Football.
Since arriving onto the sporting scene in Australia in 2018, Beach Rugby Australia has quickly become a favourite on the Queensland sporting scene for end-of-season spring sporting celebrations, encompassing fast professional Beach 5s Rugby – fun on the sand, with a party atmosphere.
Greenmount Beach is on the Southern Gold Coast and is an idyllic spot for swimming. Take a stroll along the oceanfront path around Greenmount Point, which is the coastal headland separating the stretch of Coolangatta beach and Rainbow Bay.
