Bowls Australia Nationals

Since the postponement of the inaugural staging of Bowls Australia’s newest competition, the 2021 Nationals, Broadbeach Bowls Club plans to roll out the event competitions over the 2022 calendar.

Due to the postponement of the Nationals competition in 2021, Bowls Australia amalgamates eight of the sport’s most revered competitions in an exciting initiative to be rolled out at Broadbeach Bowls Club, in April 2022, two events will be held in a mini-Nationals before the complete event is staged in September/October 2022.

The Australian Champion of Champions features men’s and women’s singles state and territory winners battling it out for their respective national title across April 23 and 24, while the Australian Championships will see state championships winners compete in singles, pairs, triples, fours and mixed pairs disciplines from April 26-29.

The first staging of Bowls Australia’s Nationals, albeit as a mini-competition, boasting two events across six days of action.

This is the first competition where Bowls Australia has combined the event into mini-competition where all athletes are involved in six days of action. The staging of the mini-Nationals in April 2022 will provide an exciting entrée to the inaugural staging of the complete Nationals, boasting seven events across more than two weeks of action.
