The Beach 5s Rugby Spring Break Festival presented by Staminade is back! Get ready for a spectacular weekend of fast-paced beach rugby action this November 2020 at Greenmount Beach, Coolangatta.
With its very own documentary on Fox Sports, it’s the game you know – but not as you know it. Enjoyed by players of all levels, from masters to juniors, the 5 aside sand-based competition is based on modified rules of rugby union, rugby league and touch football, with no line-outs, scrums or conversions in an arena of 30m x 25m.
The fantastic free event organised by Beach Rugby Australia will be presented on Coolangatta’s picturesque Greenmount Beach, fit with marquees, beach bars, décor and outside patio umbrellas. The event will run from Saturday, 14 November, 8:00 am – 8:30 pm to Sunday, 15 November, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
The 2020 festival will see 81 teams compete over the 2 days with over 4,000 spectators expected to attend alongside event ambassador Lote Tuqiri, Australian Dual International (Union & League).
Be sure not to miss the Saturday curtain raiser game “All Star Legends Celebrity Challenge”, commencing at 4:40 pm with the Titans Titanium Turtles ( NRL) v’s Aussie Dingoes (Classic Wallabies).
