The Gold Coast is set to play host to the Australian Swimming Championships held at the world-class swimming and diving facility, Gold Coast Aquatic Centre April 14-18, 2021.

The major event, organised by Swimming Australia, presents the rare opportunity to watch swimmers test themselves in a national environment for the final time prior to the Olympic and Paralympic Trials in June 2021.

The Championships will see Australian titles awarded to multi-class open athletes, following the Australian Age Swimming Championships held April 5-12, 2021, also organised by Swimming Australia. The Championships will see heats swum combined with three finals per event, with the youngest age swum first.

In a point of difference to recent program schedules, finals will be swum in the morning and heats in the evening, replicating and preparing athletes for what they will experience in Tokyo.

The major event will be live-streamed across Australia.
