The Australian Pool Rescue Championships will test Australia’s most skilled swimmers at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre this August 2022.
Organised by Surf Life Saving Australia, the Championships are one of the key qualifying events for their national lifesaving teams. It is also an opportunity for the nation’s elite lifesavers to display the skills that keep them rescue ready for the start of the patrol season.
The Gold Coast Aquatic Centre is renowned for hosting major events on a national and international level. Having hosted the swimming events in the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, this major sporting venue features a variety of world-class facilities, consisting of, five swimming pools, including a competition pool meeting international standards and FINA compliance, 1 dive pool and dry-dive training facilities, plus broadcast-quality lighting, and the flexibility of expanding its seating capacity to 12,500 for major events, just to name a few.
