Australian Pickleball Championship

Australia’s premier pickleball event is coming to the Gold Coast 2-7 October 2024 at KDV Sport.

In 2023, we saw 700 competitors take to the court at Blacktown Tennis and Leisure Centre and in 2024 we expect that number to exceed 1,000.

Pickleball is a paddle sport played with two or four people that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Originating in the US back in the 60s, the humble backyard game soon boomed with clubs in every US state, then in more than 60 countries. The fast-growing sport found its way to Australia in 2015, where an estimated 30,000 now play the sport socially across the country with close to 140 clubs.

The Australian Pickleball Championships is not just a tournament, but a festival of pickleball bringing together our amateur and professional players in one incredible destination. At the 2024 event you will have the opportunity to do so much more than just play pickleball (although let’s be honest, the priority always will be pickleball)! For a full schedule of events please ensure you visit pickleballaus.org/apc

KDV Sport will be transformed into the official home of pickleball over the 6 days of the tournament and spectators will not just be able to watch professionals and amateur-level pickleball but also play pickleball themselves, purchase equipment and merchandise and soak up all the event has to offer.

We are proud to support this fantastic event.
