2022 Paddle Australia Canoe Marathon Championships

The 2022 Paddle Australia Canoe Marathon Championships racing involves paddling over long distances, on either the flatwater of lakes, and dams, or the flowing water of a river.

Australia has many long rivers well suited for this type of Marathon canoeing. Traditional Marathon Racing competitions, like the World Cup and World Championships, involve a fixed flatwater course with regular portages, where the paddler must carry the canoe or kayak. Paddlers from eight to eighty (and beyond) are encouraged to be part of a great weekend of paddling with events ranging from 3.7 km for our Under 10s, to 19 km for our Open and Master 35s. For those new to the Canoe Marathon discipline, non-portage (non-selection) options are available.

The 2022 Paddle Australia Canoe Marathon Championships will attract the marathon racing community from across the country and beyond to the beautiful beaches of the Gold Coast and compete on a range of craft including Stand up paddle boards, Outrigger Canoes, Ocean Skis and Spec Skis for the honour of being crowned a Paddle Australia Canoe Marathon Champion.

Major Events Gold Coast is proud to support The 2022 Paddle Australia Canoe Marathon Championships.
