2022 National Orienteering League Week

The 2022 National Orienteering League Week are a national championship leading to the selection in the Australian team to compete at the World Championships.

The best orienteers from across Australia will come together to compete in a series of complex and fast events. There are courses also for older, younger and less experienced competitors.  Unique events include a mixed night sprint relay and a knockout event wherein a competitor has to win four races in a row to be the last one standing. The Gold Coast National Orienteering League Sprint holiday weekend includes three brand new maps, an updated university map and an updated treasure at The Spit likely unknown to interstate competitors.

The location of the sprint championships is rotated around Australia. Iconic locations have included previously Sydney Stadium (around the time of the Olympics), the Ballarat goldfields, Canberra foreshore, Melbourne’s iconic parks and beaches, mountains, forests, sand dunes and desert regions across Australia. An event attracting much attention from interstate participants will be held at the Spit with unique beach runs (and a swim between the flags afterwards).

The 2022 National Orienteering League Week is proudly supported by Major Events Gold Coast.
