The 2021 Gymnastic Queensland’s MAG and WAG Junior State Championships & Regional Team Challenge will take place at the Gold Coast Sport and Leisure Centre this September 2021.
Organised by Gymnastics Queensland, junior artistic gymnasts (levels 3-6) will demonstrate their strength, balance, flexibility, and creativity on the state stage. Each division will compete for the title of All-Around State Champion. The event will showcase 7 men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics apparatus. MAG athletes will compete on high bars, parallel bars, vault, rings, and floor, and WAG athletes will compete on vault, floor, uneven bars, and balance beam. The Regional Team Challenge will also take place at the event, and will see teams selected in each level from 8 regions across Queensland for the title of best region.
The event is one of Gymnastics Queensland’s largest events, involving athletes of all ages from across Queensland.
The Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre captures all the thrills of great sporting events in a purpose-built, architecturally breathtaking venue. Boasting a state-of-the-art design, the venue features an enormous 5,980sqm of flexible space, grandstand seating with a capacity of 5,000, international digital broadcast lighting and a LED production screen, several function and meeting room spaces, plus 400 undercover parking spaces with an additional 1,000 external spaces available within the precinct.
