As Australia’s largest regional ANZAC Dawn Service, Currumbin RSL’s ANZAC Day Dawn Service attracts over 20,000 people to commemorate Australia’s Defence Forces current and past history.
Elephant Rock on the Currumbin beachfront creates a geographically appropriate and sensational backdrop to the service that originated for remembrance of the ANZAC battle on the shore and cliffs of Gallipoli. The beach location enables the large crowd to gather and honour annually.
Mr Humphreys adds “Our program of activities and events to commemorate ANZAC for 2022 culminates in this symbolic service in the ideal location. Currumbin RSL is always proud to present such a moving tribute that the public can participate in by attending and honouring our diggers past and present.”
