The Gold Coast Open QS 1000 will mark the return of professional surfing to Queensland in 2023. The event is an Open Men’s and Women’s surfing competition with competitors vying for prizemoney as well as crucial World Surf League Qualifying Series points allowing them to compete in other competitions around the world.
Situated at Burleigh Headland, one of surfing’s most iconic global locations and the birthplace of ‘man on man’ competitive surfing, the Gold Coast Open is a three-day celebration of surf and coastal culture featuring live music, nightly cinema, skateboarding events and sunrise yoga sessions.
