The competitors in the 2022 Gold Coast Open will be vying for prizemoney as well as crucial World Surf League Qualifying Series points to allow them to compete in other world-class competitions around the world. Situated at Burleigh Headland, one of surfing’s most iconic global locations and the birthplace of ‘man on man’ competitive surfing, the Gold Coast Open is a three-day celebration of surf and coastal culture, featuring; surf, skate, music & cinema. The competition generally runs from 8am to 4pm each day, dependent on conditions, with wind and surf being monitored closely throughout the day.
Burleigh Heads is a picturesque coastal town that sits right in the middle between Surfers Paradise and Coolangatta on the Gold Coast. Here you will find a multitude of cafes, restaurants and bars that offer a diverse range of experiences.
