SWELL Sculpture Festival

SWELL Sculpture Festival is back for 10 days of sculpture by Currumbin Beach this September 2021!

With over 50 large-scale sculptures, the Gold Coast’s Currumbin Beach will be transformed into a free and all-inclusive outdoor sculpture park. Connecting people, art and place, SWELL will transform five public spaces spread along the Gold Coast into family-friendly outdoor sculpture galleries, located in Currumbin Beach, Mudgeeraba and Lower Beechmont, Chevron Island, Helensvale and Dust Temple Currumbin.

Home to the Main Exhibition, Currumbin Beach and Esplanade runs just over one kilometre almost seamlessly integrating together, serving as a one-of-a-kind event destination for a range of significant community and cultural events.

Regularly voted Queensland’s cleanest beach, this pristine location offers crystal clear water, ample space and breathtaking views from Surfers Paradise to Coolangatta. It’s not hard to understand why Currumbin Beach is a common destination for a diverse range of events. Currumbin Beach also forms part of the World Surfing Reserve with a break that tends to experience larger waves from a wider directional range than the neighbouring southern beach breaks due to the reduced sheltering effects of Greenmount and Snapper Rocks.

SWELL Sculpture Festival is proudly supported by Major Events Gold Coast.
