Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (AACTA Awards)

Australia’s premier Film, Television & Digital Awards – the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (AACTA Awards) and AACTA Industry Awards, along with AACTA ScreenFest are transitioning to Queensland’s Gold Coast through to 2026.

The Gold Coast’s very own HOTA, Home of the Arts will roll out the red carpet next year for the prestigious AACTA Awards on 10 February and the AACTA Industry Awards 8 February. We’re thrilled that the Gold Coast’s very own arts and culture precinct was selected and will be showcased to the nation during the Awards.

The Gold Coast is one of the most prolific screen production centres in the Southern Hemisphere, boasting perfect weather and diverse locations, as well as world-class studios and production facilities, and a vast local network of skilled technicians and crews. As Australia’s only screen celebration encompassing Film, Television, and Digital, the AACTA Industry Awards and AACTA Awards Ceremony see the stars walk the carpet at the star-studded ceremony, as the industry comes together to honour Australia’s best and brightest screen talent.

The next AACTA Awards presented by Foxtel Group be held in February 2024 at the heart of the international awards season, alongside the Oscars & BAFTAs, driving Australia’s talented creative community further on the world stage.

In the lead up to the 2024 Awards, ScreenFest will be back bigger than ever. This festival will be available to all, spanning all forms of screen entertainment, from social media and short films, to insider chats with award-winning cast and crew of some of the world’s biggest television and film productions. Also part of this event will be a professional skills and development program where people will be able to advanced their careers in the screen industry.

Past AACTA Award recipients and attendees include Chris Hemsworth, Anna Torv, Hugo Weaving, Simon Baker, Rebel Wilson, Sam Neill, Deborah Mailman among many more.

The AACTA Awards are proudly supported by Major Events Gold Coast.
