Australia’s fastest-growing country music festival adds even more artists to the lineup

Proudly produced by Major Events Gold Coast, Groundwater Country Music Festival (CMF) will bring Country to the Gold Coast this spring as it takes over Broadbeach, Australia, 12-14 November 2021.

Following on from an already star-studded first lineup announcement of Country music icons including, The Wolfe Brothers, Adam Harvey, and Sara Storer, Groundwater CMF continues to pull in major talent with its second lineup announced this morning. Joining the festival and heading to the Gold Coast are Adam Brand, Catherine Britt, Casey Barnes, Kaylee Bell plus so many more. The 2021 festival will see over 40 artists live and FREE on the Gold Coast across three days and five stages.

Regarded as Australia’s fastest-growing country music festival, Groundwater CMF is located throughout the streets, parks and venues of Broadbeach, boasting a unique country music festival experience, with festival-goers able to see their favourite country music artists, live and FREE in a picturesque beachside destination, right in the heart of the Gold Coast.

Situated along the beachside in Broadbeach, Kurrawa Park is famed for its iconic location for major events. With a large vicinity of flat open spaces featuring plenty of shade and within walking distance from some of the Gold Coast’s most-hyped bars, restaurants and a large variety of accommodation operators, Kurrawa Park is the perfect destination for hosting large events containing multiple stages and activations. Another major event that utilises this beachside destination is Crafted Beer and Cider Festival, a Major Events Gold Coast supported event.

In 2019, Groundwater CMF saw over 70,000 people attend the three-day event. The festival allowed patrons to enjoy over 130 hours of entertainment in stunning locations throughout Broadbeach. In a final accolade, the much-loved festival took out the 1st prize in the Festivals and Events category at the 2019 Australian Tourism Awards.

Following a two year hiatus after its cancellation in 2020 due to COVID-19, Groundwater CMF is expected to provide a significant economic boost to the Gold Coast as it attracts tourists from around Australia.

Gold Coast to host Eurovision – Australia Decides in 2022

Major Events Gold Coast is thrilled to announce its partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland and Blink TV will see Eurovision – Australia Decides return to the Gold Coast in February 2022.

Set to be presented at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event will showcase the best of Australian music and talent, right in the heart of Australia’s favourite playground as they compete for their shot to represent the nation at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Italy.

The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre is the Gold Coast’s premier event venue, featuring state-of-the-art architecture, award-winning facilities, first-class service and exquisite culinary catering. As Australia’s largest regional convention Centre, this venue is highly acclaimed for hosting renowned national and international conferences, exhibitions, concerts, sporting events, offering an array of flexible function rooms and event spaces.

With Australians having the power to choose who will represent the nation in Italy, the winner will be revealed during the Live TV Final Broadcast exclusively on SBS, Saturday 26 February.

Gaining national exposure, the event will deliver significant economic injection to the local tourism industry while showcasing the Gold Coast as the Ultimate Stage for major events.
